Suffix meanings of Mongolian toponyms

Abstract

In this article, the author analyzed suffixes, which express the land as a part of Mongolian

lexicology. Suffixes such as;

- yar (- ger, - yor, - gitr), - day (- deg, -doy, - dug), - dai (- dei, - doi, -dpi), - r, - s, -1, -qan (- ken, - qon, - кцп), - cay (- ceg, - coy, cug) are enormously repeated. But some suffixes from several words and their repetition is not too much in their usage.
