Mongolian culture front the point of view of binary oppositions

Abstract

In this paper the author discusses from point of view of poststructuralist deconstructionist semiotics some opinions about Mongolian traditional nomadic pastoralist culture. B. Batchuluun once wrote that the Mongolian nomads are primitives. But according to the author this view can be regarded as a typical orientalist thought. As for the author, if we use Derrida's deconstruction we can destroy these binary oppositions of Batchuluun such as agriculture or pastoralism civilized or primitive.
