Abstract

In this paper, the author presents some of his research results on the origin of some Turkish and Mongolian words. In particular, the author concluded that the Turkish word aş "food, meal" is etymologically related to the Turkish word alma "apple" and the Mongolian alima "apple"; and the Turkish word talan "to rob" is etymologically related to the Mongolian word tala- "to rob", ala- "to kill".
