The function of relative nouns of space-time in the Mongolian sentences

Abstract

The peculiarities of meaning and structure of place-time relative nouns were categorized by studying their deep, surface, nuclear and transformative structures.

As for transformative structure, the functions of morphemes, compound words and sentences are vital. For the grammatical transformation: (1) grammatical compound words are derived from place-time relative nouns; (2) incomplete predicates are formed by grammatical compound words; (3) verbs “гэ-, хэмээ-” can be derived from grammatical compound words.
