Abstract

Analyzing denomination in an extensive range, it can be formed by any word, compound word, analytical construction, idiom, phrase or sentence and micro-discourse of a certain subject. Therefore, it is necessary to study the peculiarity of phrase-unit denomination as a denotation (ideal).

Denomination expressed by idioms is not the name of a thing or group, but it has characteristics to nominate evaluation and attitude to the things.

The emotional and imaginative association surrounding a word is connotation. It is created when you mean something else, something that might be initially hidden depending on a certain environment and certain objective of communication. It intends the various emotional reactions like to be annoyed, hatred, feel resentful, humiliate, satirize, curse, be proud of, esteem etc.

Connotation and denotation are main principal methods of describing the meanings of words, so they should be considered as a new paradigm in stylistics.
