On the meanings of some terms indicating relatives(turul sadun), ancestors and descendants (udam ugsaa) in he Mongolian language

Abstract

                In the modern Mongolian language, the words such as ovog, turul, sadan, ug, ugsaa, udam, urag, khamaatan are widely used in either the spoken or written language. As of yet, we do not know the concrete meanings and do not clearly distinguish the meanings between these words. There are serious problems, such as explaining one word by another similar one (For example: Explaining sadun by turul, but turul by sadun) and to explain two different words as same because of the lack of suitable explanations in Mongolian language dictionaries. In the article, the concrete meanings of these words will be brought to light by the author.
