Abstract

In this paper, the author concludes the analysis on oral formula in Mongolian children oral children’s oral poetry and other conversational genres.

Some of the stanzas in children’s oral poetry and other conversational genres are smoothly linked to the oral literature system, which has been carried with traditional poetry. Shortened or elongated lines, which occur in children limericks (аман наадгай), relate directly to speaking patterns of the oral poetry, whereas the children limericks (аман наадгай) derive from both: one, oral formula such as collocations and phrases, which are popular in folklore and oral / colloquial language in forms/ perspective of language and expressions; two, parallel oral formula such as proverbs and joroo sayings.

The specific feature of the children oral poetry is the balancing of the rhythm by words with direct and implicit meanings, which contributes the lexis of the children oral poetry with creating new words by adding suffixes to onomatopoetic, descriptive and derived words.

Words and expressions, created within children poems, prove that there is lingual intuition among children as well as children interference to the source language vocabulary development and enrichment.
