There are many image symbols of ancient Mongolian songs and melodies, but few people know what kind of melody they are and how to sing. At such a critical time, the Bayankhongor Aimag Museum of Local Lore has preserved a number of unique documents. In other words, L.Yundenbat, a former Unzad (monk, who starts the congregation recitation) has left an image notes of five melodies such as “Nariin Saikhan Heer” (long), “Shivee Khiagt” (short), “One Book Dan” (long), “One Book Dan” (short), and “Bogd's High Mountain” (long). In this article, we aim to analyze the sound symbols of the Mongolian folk long song “Nariin Saikhan Heer”, by comparative method, based on versions sung by contemporary singers.
