Abstract

Өнөөдөр дэлхийн олонхи орнуудад эмэгтэйчүүдийн байдлыг нэлээд өндөр түвшинд авч үзэх болжэ. Энэ нь хүн амын аливаа хөтөлбөрийн хэрегжилтэнд чухал нөлөө үзүүлж байгаагар тайлбарлагдаж байна. Иймд хүн ам, хөгжлийн төлөвлөлтөд хүйсийн асуудлыг онцгойлон анхаарч, үнэн зөв ойлголттой болж чадвал амжилтанд хүрнэ. Энэ зорилгын үүднээс цуврал лекцийнхээ анхны дугаарыг толилуулж байна.

The women in most of the countries of the world are at disadvantage as compared to men because of various socio-economic and cultural factors. This article brings out the gender differences by comparing the values of a number of indicators pertaining to health, poverty, employment, income etc. for men and women. Detailed analysis have been made of the time spent on household work by men and women. It has been found that for all the countries under study, the average time spent by women on various household activities was 3 times more as compared to men. The difference is more glaring in cooking and taking care of children.
