Sentimentalism in Mongolian literature

Abstract

In this article, the author studies “Toli Genden” /Mirror Genden/ by Ts. Damdinsuren. This humorous fiction illustrates the characteristics of the poor and their lifestyles during the social change of Mongolia in 1930s. The keenest insights into social structure its deepest values and tastes have been revealed by the character ‘Genden’.
