‘Yaria zohiol’

Abstract

Whereas the Mongolian literary form known as "Words" (Üg) is considered an independent genre, the form known as "Talk" (Yaria) must be viewed as a genre distinct from "Words", with its own unique development. We prove that the "Talk" was at one point in history an independent literary genre, suggesting the need to study in greater detail the development process and trajectory, characteristics, and evolutionary aspects of this singular form.
