On the Aspect of Developing Students' Speaking Skills

Abstract

There is a need to thoroughly study the different types of oral speech from the perspective of applied linguistics. In addition, it is advisable to improve students' speaking skills by identifying the types of oral speaking appropriate for the teaching process and incorporating them into the curricula and textbook content. In particular, strategies for teaching public speaking - a skill increasingly required in today's society - as well as formal and informal speaking will be explored, in line with the learning goals and objectives of this subject area.
