Abstract

Nishida Kitaro discusses the problem of god, in An Inquiry Into the Good. The problem of god, for Nishida Kitaro, god must be the foundation of the universe and own foundation as well. So is the unifier of the universe and universe is an expression of god. God - as the basis of the unity of the universe - is discussed by Nishida Kitaro not from the perspective of speculative metaphysics but as a fact of pure experience. And in pure experience this unity called god is experienced as personal, and as inspiring love and respect. God's self-development in itself is infinite love for us.
