In the history of Mongolian linguistics, there are many people who have studied the Mongolian language and linguistics, but some people are not well known by the public. One of them is Demchigdorj Baljirtündev, who was in charge of the Mongolian language affair at the Ministry of Enlightenment (Education) of Mongolia in 1960 and was also researching the modern Mongolian language. Heritage and documentary materials related to the life and research work of this person have recently been registered in the fund of our institute, and based on those materials, this article is being written in order to clarify and inform about the research done by this person on the Mongolian language.
