Noun with suffix -лт and gerund -x, their usage and charateristics

Abstract

In this paper the author has taken two aspects of the contemporary Mongolian language and drew the following conclusions.

1.     The usage of noun w'ith suffix-лт is very common in the contemporary Mongolian language on account of direct copy of sentence structure from Russian and English languages so on. This caused obvious deficiency in the Mongolian stylistics.

2.     Today, gerund -x of the Mongolian verb has not fully and correctly explained in the

sphere of teaching, so great mass of the population think wrongly that it is « true » verb and entry form in dictionaries. It is the cause to misunderstand the syllable and word structure.

The author considered that these mistakes need to be corrected when compiling dictionary, translating, composing and teaching Mongolian. If corrected, this would help to keep the ecology of the Mongolian language pure and the social status in the Mongolian language will be increased.
