Historical process of dropping the consonant [r] in root morphemes of Mongolian

Abstract

The article deals with the historical process of dropping of consonant [r] in root morphemes.
It took place at the early study of Mongolian languages’ development and was more active then it could be supposed. The author proposes etymologies for some words on the base of sense perception.
