A Comparative Analyses of The Laws of Mongolia and People`s Republic of China on Religious Organizations
In this article, we attempted to comparatively analyze the legal regulations governing the relationship between the state and religious institutions in Mongolia and the People's Republic of China (PRC). We focused on the policies of the two countries regarding the establishment, licensing, registration, and operation of religious organizations, identifying similarities and differences, and explaining good and instructive practices. For this purpose, we primarily used Mongolia's Law on the Relationship between the State and Religious Institutions, the procedures for granting permission to establish and operate new monasteries in the capital and provincial territories, and China's Measures for the Management of Religious Activity Sites (Religious Organizations, Monasteries) as our main sources.
