The representation of women in government and in political decision-making levels remains still insufficient to this day, where real political power is concentrated. Although the representation of women in legislative bodies and local representative bodies has increased in the last two decades, and certain successes have been achieved in the parliaments of countries in this regard, obstacles remain for women to work in higher positions in the government. As of 2024, the average representation of women in the parliaments of countries around the world is 27 percent, while women make up 23.3 percent in government. This article comparatively studies the current situation of women's representation in the political decision-making levels, including of the government, within the scope of selected countries.
