Abstract

The concept of phronesis can itself be seen as providing a certain elaboration of the dialogic conception of understanding G.Gadamer had already found in Aristotle, and taken together, these two concepts can seen as providing the essential starting point for the development of G.Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics.
