Abstract

Following the ideas kf Balashow, Martin and Crow we have isolated the resonant part of the transition amplitude for auto-ionization from the 2S state, in several different ways 1) from the pure theoretical T matrix, 2) from the theoretical cross section using Shore parameters and 3) from an experimental cross section where the theoretical cross section has been convoluted whit an experimental resolution. Our conclusion is that variations of the o-parameter reported in [1] is a result of both post-collisional interaction as well as an effect of the experimental resolution.
