This study analyzes the characteristics
of Xinhua News Agency’s WeChat public
account’s coverage of the Paris Olympics.
Through diversified reporting themes, such
as event reports, athlete stories and event
reviews, the official account not only meets
the diverse needs of the audience but also
enhances the public's emotional connec
tion and patriotic feelings towards Chinese
athletes. The reporting style is relatively
lively and lively, and incorporates the
language characteristics of social media,
such as the use of emotional vocabulary
and Internet slang, to attract readers'
attention. The official account also
innovatively uses GIF, short video and AI
technology to enhance interactivity and
visual impact. Despite this, the report still
maintains Xinhua News Agency's
consistent rigor and objectivity, achieving a
balance between entertainment and
professionalism.
