Intelligent applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok-3, and Claude are increasingly used for a wide range of purposes, including answering questions, generating images, producing video and audio content, and processing textual materials. Specifically, the research looks at MNB’s live Q&A with Prime Minister G. Zandanshatar, the Russian Central TV annual press-conference-style feature with President V. Putin, and NTV Mongolia’s “Lkhagva’s Review” featuring former Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene.
While all three broadcasts exceeded 180 minutes-representing a massive commitment of airtime-their actual value to the public varied significantly. This analysis evaluates the cases by considering the viewpoints of the guests, the accuracy of the information, and the presence of different viewpoints. In addition, the paper analyzes the technical aspects of each program, focusing on the logical flow of the stories, the interview techniques used by the moderators, and their adherence to professional ethical standards.
The findings reveal a distinct gap in quality. Both the MNB and Russian Central TV broadcasts demonstrated a commitment to pluralism and constructive journalism, supported by structured participation and evidence-based discourse. In contrast, the NTV Mongolia interview, despite its unprecedented six-hour duration, suffered from a lack of diverse voices and a tendency toward repetitive, unsupported claims. Ultimately, this points to the growing risk of access journalism, where professional rigor is sacrificed for elite proximity. The study concludes that while the long-form interview remains a cornerstone of political accountability, its success depends on a foundation of logical inquiry and professional responsibility."
"This study synthesizes findings from six independent studies to examine how Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) is reshaping professional journalism. In this context, astroturfing, defined as the artificial creation of grassroots public support, has emerged as an important issue in digital politics and information manipulation studies. This study examines the manifestations and characteristics of astroturfing in Mongolia’s digital environment through four case studies representing state institutions, government organizations, political actors, and media platforms. Using content analysis and non-participant observation methods, the research identifies several common indicators of astroturfing, including repetitive information dissemination by a limited number of accounts, coordinated sharing activities, repeated positive and negative narratives, and geographically targeted distribution patterns. The findings suggest that such coordinated digital activities may influence public perception, manipulate online discussions, and create artificial impressions of public support or opposition. The study highlights the growing importance of media literacy and the need to improve the public’s ability to recognize organized information manipulation in digital environments.
This review evaluates journalistic researcher Dr. M.
