In this article, the author provides an
overview of the state, structure, and subjects
of journalistic research methodology, as well
as classification of research methods
commonly used in journalism, including their
benefits and areas for further development.
Moreover, the author concludes that
journalistic research methodology is a
scientific concept and discusses the need to
systematize the main categories that define
the concept of journalistic research
methodology, to identify the unique features
of this field of scientific knowledge, and to
synthesize the different views of researchers
in this area.

goals. This study attempted to use a
systematic review method to explore the
differences in digital literacy and media
literacy.

This review analyzes Dr.
D.Narantuya’s monograph titled “The Role
of Mongolian National Public Television in
the Social Concsiousness of Mongolia” and
discusses its strengths and weaknesses in
detail. Based on this analysis, the review
concludes that the merits of this work lie in
the fact that the author approached the
chosen topic from various angles,
thoroughly research it, investigated the
problem creatively, made a clear attempt to
examine mass media challenges in
connection with other disciplines in the
social sciences and humanities, and laid
the foundation of this approach.

The current study aimed to
examine the coverage of climate change by
Mongolian media, with a particular focus on
news websites, the most widely accessed
by the public form of media. The research
encompassed an analysis of five websites,
evaluating a total of 388 news articles
related to the topic of climate change. The
findings of the analysis indicate that while
climate change has been covered to some
degree across websites, there has been a
marked increase in coverage since 2021.
Notably, among the websites studied,
Gogo.mn, despite posting a smaller
volume of articles, has consistently
reported on climate change and like other
websites, has substantially expanded its
coverage on climate change in the past two
years. This heightened attention to climate
change can be attributed to the policies and
programs implemented by the Government
of Mongolia, as well as broader global
shifts in focus toward this critical issue. In
terms of types of content published,
approximately 70 percent were news
reports. The media plays a prominent role
in disseminating the necessary knowledge
and fostering the skills required for the
public to adapt to and mitigate the impacts
of climate change. Therefore, in addition to
regular news updates, it is essential to
have dedicated radio programs, TV shows,
and website sections that continuously
feature articles and columns on climate
change.

In the spring of 2023, an article that had a large readership on social media and social networks was the portrait of UB.life.mn journalist B. Enkhtsetseg about singer P. Adarsuren, titled “Please, send my beloved songs to my dear...”The researcher once said, “A journalist should write what he believes to be right in his heart.” B. Enkhtsetseg studies her “hero” and tells the truth about him to the people, whom she believes to be right in his heart. The portrait article “Please, send my beloved songs to my dear…” was published on UB.life.mn on February 8, 2023, and from that day on, it reached the public on platforms, was read by more than 100,000 people, shared 490 times on Facebook, and left about 300 comments.

The growth and impact of social media in Mongolian society today is evident from the number of users accessing the site. As a result of technological developments, the trend of continuously delivering information to the public in various formats also provides journalists with the opportunity to deliver information in multiple formats.

Deepfake technology, a type of
artificial intelligence, was selected and
studied in this study. Deepfake technology
can affect public trust and divide society by
creating videos and photos of politicians
doing things they have never done or
saying things they have never said.
Therefore, we set out to explore the
technology industry's scope, legal
framework, real-life cases, and public
perceptions and opinions. A survey of 157
participants aged 18-54+ used random
probability sampling to determine public
perceptions. We also analyzed legal
regulations and documented cases of
deepfake technology being used for
political purposes. The survey result show
a gap in public knowledge: 69% of
respondents have never heard of deepfake
technology before, and more than a third
say they are not confident in their ability to
distinguish between real and fake content.
In addition, content analysis of leading
news sites such as gogo.mn, news.mn,
and ikon.mn shows that the sites are not
able to adequately spread information
about deepfake technology. In addition, the

results highlight the urgent need to improve

This paper explains Mongolian
example that using mass medias as a tool
to influence public opinion under the
Broadcasting Law. In 2019, amendments
to the Broadcasting Law allowed 18
commercial televisions to collect “fees”
from “viewers”. However, in other countries
there is no such standard that state pay
legal fees for non-public, privately owned
media outlets. This non-standard
regulations are compared with how
broadcasting is supported in other
countries.

In addition to conducting qualitative
interviews with stakeholders about the
Broadcasting Law, this study analyzed
whether commercial television stations are
fulfilling their legal obligations. It also
compared how broadcasting is supported
in other countries around the world.

The appropriate way to report on
disability issues is clearly outlined in the
legal frameworks and other official
documents of developed countries.
Journalists and media outlets must give
particular attention to their choice of
language, framing of the issue, and
portrayal of individuals with developmental
challenges. It is advised to report news as
closely as possible to reality, from a neutral
stance, with a balanced perspective.
In comparison to how these issues
were reported eight years ago,
considerable progress has been observed.
Rather than merely listing the problems
faced by people with developmental
challenges and focusing on their need for
assistance, modern reporting highlights
how such challenges are being addressed.
The media now increasingly emphasizes,
the perspectives, lifestyles, and
contributions of individuals with
developmental challenges who are
successfully engaged in work and social
activities. This shift includes recognizing
the talent and skills that individuals with
developmental challenges bring to their
organizations. Furthermore, several
articles critically examine and challenge
the stereotypical perceptions and negative
attitudes towards people with
developmental challenges in society, which
is essential in reducing misconceptions
and combating discrimination.

Media outlets must identify new opport
unities to continue to exist owing to the
development of techniques and technology
in the field of media. Hence, articles and
programs must be regularly updated and
enriched in terms of content, form, topic
coverage, size, language composition,
recording tone, and methods. This article
analyzes the best practices of local U.S.
news sites that have successfully
transitioned digitally by their own effort.
These practices are compared with those
of local news sites in Mongolia.
Next, we examine the legal frameworks
that support local newspapers in U.S.
states and laws that ensure the sustain
ability of local journalism. Similarities are
observed between the practices of the U.S.
and Mongolia. For example, from their
business model to regular emails for
sharing their mission with readers,
ensuring financial stability through the
development of classified advertising, and
using a more streamlined system for
reporting that frees reporters from un
necessary technical work. Based on the
laws and regulations to ensure the stability
of local journalism, the government's
interference in media evaluated unfavor
ably. Therefore, if the government's non
influence and non-interference can be
implemented, then a new type of support
for local media can be implemented.

This study analyzes the characteristics
of Xinhua News Agency’s WeChat public
account’s coverage of the Paris Olympics.
Through diversified reporting themes, such
as event reports, athlete stories and event
reviews, the official account not only meets
the diverse needs of the audience but also
enhances the public's emotional connec
tion and patriotic feelings towards Chinese
athletes. The reporting style is relatively
lively and lively, and incorporates the
language characteristics of social media,
such as the use of emotional vocabulary
and Internet slang, to attract readers'
attention. The official account also
innovatively uses GIF, short video and AI
technology to enhance interactivity and
visual impact. Despite this, the report still
maintains Xinhua News Agency's
consistent rigor and objectivity, achieving a
balance between entertainment and
professionalism.

WeChat is the most widely used social
media platform in China, and one of the
main information dissemination tools of the
government and the public sector. In this
sense, it has become an important area for
the integration of traditional media. So, the
traditional media, the WeChat public
platform, has also taken bold steps to
integrate with new media. We conducted a
study on 357 contents’ titles of Inner
Mongolian Daily News newspaper’s
Mongolian version, those were broadcast
ted on this platform over a period of 2
months, using sampling, content analysis,
methods. In this study, the content titles of
the WeChat public platform did not meet
the requirements of being concise as news
titles, and the sentences were mainly
narrative, which were weak in terms of
attention-grabbing.

This paper, by analyzing short videos
on the TikTok platform related to the "Inner
Mongolian drought" natural disaster,
reveals the multiple roles TikTok users play
in information dissemination and agenda
setting. In the early stages of the event,
TikTok users posted videos depicting the
drought-stricken grasslands and the plight
of livestocks, driving the formation of the
topic and attracting public attention.
As the event progressed, users’
discussions deepened the topic's content,
prompting government and mainstream
media intervention, showcasing TikTok's
"reverse agenda-setting" capability.
In the later stages, as the drought
eased, the number of related short videos
decreased, and users shifted their focus to
analyzing the causes and promoting public
welfare, further expanding the topic's social
impact.
