Abstract

Every country in the world is eager
to focus on the importance of media
literacyas it focuses on reducing the
spread and treats of fake news. In recent
years, our state and non governmental
organizations have become active in
media literacy programs, research,
knowledge sharing sessions and
convensions. In the Age of Information,
the competence of media and information
literacy of higher education students
directly affect the quality and efficiency of
their study, work and life.This study is
aimed tio investigate the media literacy of
students in universities and colleges of
Mongolia. We collected and analyzed data
from 560 students who was studing 22
universities and colleges. According to the
research results, the media literacy of
Mongolian university students is poor.
