Abstract

Mongolian journalism education and
working conditions for journalists: The study
was conducted to find out the reasons why
students studying journalism have lost interest
in their profession in recent years. The main
reason was the decline in the professional
reputation of journalists as low-paid and hard
work. Therefore, although there are enough
jobs, it is the most unstable sector depending
on working conditions. Journalism university,
on the other hand, face challenges on both
sides. Vocational journalism education in
Mongolia is facing the twin challenges of
declining student numbers and increasing
industry expectations that graduates should
have strong multimedia skills, there is a
growing demand for graduates majoring in
convergent journalism.
