Abstract

This article discusses public relations’
features of each three candidates for the
presidential election of Mongolia in 1997.
During The Democratic Union Coalition
proved that a party without unity could not win
the 1997 presidential election. Just a year ago,
the MPRP and its chairman, N.Bagabandi, lost
the 1996 parliamentary elections due to poor
performance. However, the fact that the same
team won the presidential election a year later
shows how important building the people's
trust through PR. The public relied on a
trustworthy and serious MPRP representative.
At that time, newspapers and television were
the main sources of information and
advertising.
