Abstract

Advertising can be divided into different
categories according to different standards.
There could be international, national,
regional, and local advertisements according
to the extent of the territory where they are
broadcast, and according to the means of
communication, advertisements are intro
duced through newspapers, magazines, radio,
television, post, Internet, electronic media,
and bulletin boards. There are also business
commercials and public service advertising.
Advertising is divided into three types stages
based on the product life cycles: development,
competition and maintenance. The advertise
ment using chopsticks to promote Chinese
culture is a national, television, non
commercial, awareness-raising and mainte
nance stage work.
Social media advertising using chopsticks
which is in line with the code of conduct
differes in the features of propoganda and PR
clearly. Propogandas force people to follow an
ideology, while social advertising promotes an
idea to the public. Public Relation uses many
different methods to convince people of an
idea. The public service advertising called
“Chopsticks” uses chopsticks on the dining
tables of all families to create a story based on
family education and spread the cultural
values of Chinese to the world. It has so been
successful in its story-tellong and has caused
this type of advertising abundant in all of
China. The importance of advertising is to
increase sales of products and increase the
reputation of the industry, especially in
modern times.
