Abstract

With the acceptance of centrally resided Mongolians in Inner Mongolia of China and The Republic of Buryatia, Tuva and Kalmyk in Russia since XX century, they have communicated in their native language in social communication, and more specifically, the common mass communication systems have already been created for the reception of information in their native language. From the historical perspectives of mass media, it has created an overview of the origins and development of ‘The Mongolian-language newspapers and press’ which can be considered as ‘national’ for Mongolians abroad. With respect to some research proposals on the periods of historical development of journalism designed by scholars of two countries, the periods of origins and development of The Mongolian-language newspapers can be divided in what follows: a. First period: Period of origin of The Mongolian-language press, /1895-1920/; b. Second period: Period of Conflicts to set up social organizations, /1921-1950s/; c. Third period: Period of Communist Press Development, /1950s-1990/; d. Fourth period: Period of Shake-up Press, /1990 – present/. In revising the periods of historical development of The Mongolian-language newspapers published in Mongolia and Inner Mongolia, the study aims at comparing the special features of The Mongolian-language newspapers in each period.
