The outstanding Oirat enlightener
Zaya-Bandid Namkhayzhamts /1599-1662/
translated the invaluable sutra “The History
of the Zharun Hashora Stupa” from Tibetan
into Mongolian in the Tod-Bichig script,
which he himself created. Scientist and
writer Badrakhyn Chimed published this
work in Cyrillic, Tibetan and Tod scripts in
Ulaanbaatar in 2023. He inherited this sutra
from his father, Bayadin Sanj Gevshe.
Chimed's book of essays and memoirs,
“Meet Me in Paradise,” where he describes
this sutra and the fate of his father, has been
published more than once in Mongolia.
In this article, Dr.T.Baasansuren,
researcher of the theory and practice of
Mongolian literature and journalism,
analyses content and skill of “The History of
the Zharun Hashora Stupa”.
