Abstract

This article introduces the newly published Encyclopedia of Mongolian Journalism authored by renowned journalism professor Lombo Norovsuren, Professor and one of the most influential figures in Mongolian media studies. Over the course of his academic career, Dr. Norovsuren has published 64 books, authored 67 scholarly articles, presented 35 academic papers, and reviewed and edited 51 works by other authors, making a significant contribution to the development of journalism research in Mongolia. A landmark achievement in his scholarly legacy is the publication of the 21-volume series Journalism in 2019, which set a national record as the largest multi-volume academic work produced within a single scientific discipline in Mongolia. The newly released encyclopedia represents a comprehensive synthesis of Mongolian journalism’s history, theory, key concepts, institutions, and practitioners, and constitutes an important reference work for researchers, educators, students, and media professionals.
