Abstract

This study compares the distribution of sports content on Mongolia’s MNB Sport channel and China’s CCTV-5 over a 14-day period. The results show that CCTV-5 focuses mainly on football and basketball, reflecting China’s major leagues and international competitions. In contrast, MNB Sport presents a more diverse mix, emphasizing judo, wrestling, and traditional Mongolian sports alongside global events. Overall, the differences in coverage are influenced by national interests, seasonal factors, major tournaments, and broadcasting policies.
