Abstract

This article examines the contribution of journalist S. Oyun—Honored Cultural Worker of Mongolia and State Prize laureate—to the development of modern Mongolian journalism. It highlights the eff ectiveness and social impact of her work and its role in strengthening journalism’s civic function. The study focuses on her major genres, including analytical articles on pressing social issues, portrait essays, and interviews. Through these forms, Oyun raised urgent public problems, encouraged debate, and promoted responsibility in journalism. The fi ndings suggest that her writings infl uenced public awareness and advanced professional practice, making her an important fi gure in Mongolia’s journalistic modernization.
