Abstract. The determination of lifestyles in contemporary societies involves a complex interaction of social structures, individual agency, and globalizing forces. Bourdieu, Giddens, and Bauman offer significant theoretical contributions to understanding the determinants of individual choice in the context of societal transformation, analyzing the roles of social class, cultural capital, risk perception, digital networks, and the evolving character of modern societies.
