Abstract

M.Lipman has accepted the view on philosophy of education from J.Dewey‟s philosophy. J.Dewey said “Man have to solve any problems‟, on the contrary, M.Lipman said “Man have to rational”. Bring together, it could be said that man has opportunity to solve any problems by being rational. Generally, M.Lipman mentioned many times that rational citizens need to create current democracy.

M.Lipman 'reflective thinking is a synthesis of creative and critical thinking. Critical thinking is productive, creative thinking is flexible. Critical thinking is sensitive to context, self-correcting and reasoning; creative thinking is imaginative, holistic, generative and inventive. M.Lipman has recounted that reasoning carefully oneself, and making decision based on them are important to be rational. Saying that reflective thinking forms the rationality, he has assumed this thinking reflective oneself, gets someone to work creatively, aims to desired outcomes, makes good utterances, and is the most effective thinking.
