Abstract

The new order created in international politics after the end of the Cold
War has provided countries with the opportunity to participate independently and
actively in international relations. Due to enhance country`s prestige and image
on the international stage, all actors of international politics actively pursue soft
power policies depended on its own resources. For Korea, has become to pay high
attention and focus on the middle power policies based on soft power, such as
cultural and public diplomacy. In this article, we focus on the changes and specific
characters of public diplomacy of the Republic of Korea
