Abstract

Kim Il Sung’s Juche policy, which was in the national
interest of the DPRK to unite the South by the superiority of military
force, was similar in some sense to the policy of political realism.
And Kim Jong-Il’s policy was to maintain power through military
force and ideology. The nuclear policy of the DPRK in some sense
confirms Waltz ‘s theory about protection of safety, but the grown
weak national economy long will not sustain all the time the
strengthened economic sanctions of the UN and American pressure.
