Abstract

The President of China - Xi Jinping announced in 2013 his grand plan
to connect Asia, Africa and Europe, described often as a century silk road, made
up of a “belt” of overland corridors and a maritime “road” of shipping lanes. From
South-east Asia to Eastern Europe and Africa, Belt and Road initiative includes
near 80 countries that account for half the world’s population and a quarter of
global GDP. The article provides the major issues about the principles, mechanism
of cooperation between countries participating in realization of Chinese initiative
“One Belt and One Road” and its success in Asia, Europe and Africa
