Since 1990s, in the developing international relations, cultural and diplomatic exchanges between Mongolia and the world community, the linguistic contact, especially the diplomatic language skills between Mongolian and English languages has been increasingly expanded. In diplomatic and legal documents many words have Latin and French
origin. There are a lot of abbreviations and conventional symbols, and the most noticeable feature of grammar is the compositional pattern. Every diplomatic document has its own stereotyped form. Therefore, through this article, we look into how those stereotyped forms, abbreviations and conventional symbols are used in diplomatic documents. This article presents a number of issues concerning teaching principles of diplomatic translation, and gives examples based on some documentation.
