Abstract

Nomadic children have a right to good quality education as other citizens of Mongolia. The article illustrates the challenges involved in providing pre-primary, primary and secondary education for nomadic children based on non discriminatory perspective. Although there is lack of relevant data about herders’ education but nomadic child access less education than others and their achievements are also lower than child who settled area. In addition to this pre-primary, primary and secondary educational curriculums do not covered themes related to nomadic animal husbandry. Therefore, paper explored specific forms of discrimination that herders’ children experience in relation of accessibility, compatibility and quality of education.  In order to design a flexible education policy and deliver education to them, policy makers need to change their previous custom of planning expenditure for schooling and curriculum development.
