Nomads in postmodern condition: New risk or new opportunity?

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the process and trends of existence of the nomadic way of life in compliance with social changes basing on the case of Mongolian nomads. It might be worth noting that by mentioning trend the author didn’t intend to make prediction basing on historical one linear concept or progress concept of modernization.

The author considers that social changes in the border of 20th and 21st century brought a favorable period especially for Mongolian nomadism as a way of  life.
