To the Problem of "Canonization" of Classical Sociological Theories in Contemporary Era

Abstract

In this article, the author analyzes continuity of application of sociological theories.  Author makes distinction between classical and modern era of sociology and tries to elaborate the following aspects:

1. Ideas of classic theorists (Marx, Weber, Durkheim, Ziegler) on modern society;
2. Analytical judgment on contemporary approaches and tendencies to classical theorists;
3. Possibility of “Canonization” contemporary theorists’ ideas similar to classical theorists’ ideas.
