Features of quantitative and qualitative methods, Differences of quantitative researches

Abstract

Method whose final results are expressed in numbers is called quantitative. Quantitative methods include questionnaire, structured interview, sociometry and test, statistical analysis of documents, content analysis, and experiment. Qualitative methods include participant observation, unstructured interview, and focus group interview. I discuss methodology of using quantitative and qualitative methods, their specifics and advantages.
