Abstract

Abstract: By helping social norms to be internalized, values are indirectly sources of relationship behavior. Likewise, history books have different meanings that shape values and influence social life. It seems important to reevaluate the role of values in social life in a society which is extremely distinguishable in history books. An adaptation of Gavrilyuk’s value survey was used. Correlation analysis revealed significant differences between Mongolian students in value types and in history books. Altogether, it seems most important to investigate more detailed on the historical and social influences that shape individual and communal identities with regard to questions of history books and values. Conclusion of the secret history of the Mongols correlates to -family (r=.3) significantly -kindness, sustainability, integrity, compassion (r=0.2) weakly.
