Abstract

Abstract: In the early 1990s, the study of social change became a global issue, while the definition of social change was strongly understood in science as “development issues” that arise only in “developing countries.” (Servaes, 2010) Therefore, it is appropriate for us to study the approaches and concepts of classical, modern and contemporary sociological theory to study social change and to add practical significance to our research work.

Therefore, in the following article, I have tried to highlight the theoretical approaches and concepts of studying social change: classical and modern approaches. In particular, we have tried to clarify the concepts that have emerged since the 1970s.
