НАСАН ТУРШИЙН БОЛОВСРОЛЫН ТӨВД ТУСГАЙ ХЭРЭГЦЭЭТЭЙ ХҮҮХДИЙГ СУРГАЖ БУЙ НӨХЦӨЛ БАЙДАЛ
Abstract
Abstract: Primary aim of this study was to assess the current practices of lifelong education centers (LLECs) to work with children with special needs, to identify the problems and needs. LLEC is main non-formal education agency operated with the mission of: reducing the number of children out-of-school, providing literacy and education for vulnerable children whose rights to education are restricted, providing primary, basic, secondary education programs. In the context of this study, 5 target locations including 3 districs of Ulaanbaatar city and 2 provinces are covered.
By the result of the study, current situation, teachers’ capacity, learning resources to work with children with special needs are very insufficient at LLECs. Most of the LLECs operating in the regular school’s classrooms without having their own class and learning resources. Most of the teachers at LLECs are evaluated their method to work with different catergories of special needs as “poor”, specially with different categories of children with disabilities.
