Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses the social welfare system and policy in modern Mongolia. The transition from a socialist social security to market based social security was taken place in that country. The author focuses on program types, coverage, financing and distribution of current social welfare policies. Finally, he highlights some of the most challenges in social welfare policy.
