Abstract

Advanced technologies of the digital age are rapidly penetrating all sectors, including the banking industry. This study combines survey and interview data to identify the evolving job functions and required skills of accountants at Golomt Bank. The findings reveal significant changes in core accounting functions, with new responsibilities emerging such as data processing, system management, and decision-support tasks. The study also confirms a substantial increase in the demand for both technical (digital) and soft skills. Based on these insights, the research recommends that employees and organizations revise training programs and continuously develop professional competencies to adapt to the changing work environment.
