A metaphor is a form of composition that implicitly compares one thing to another. The more rational the analogy, the more concise, understandable and graphic the expression can be. Therefore, implicit metaphors or metaphors belong to cognitive sciences such as psychology, linguistics, and culture. Metaphorical sentences and idioms require certain skills to translate because of the culture of the language. Mongolians have a long history of developing and applying rich translation practices and theories. One of their major confirmations is Khasbu's “Newly translated «The Dream of the Red Chamber»”. Currently, academics are still studying the introduction and interpretation method of the novel "Newly translated «The Dream of the Red Chamber»” and the translation of the poem. This time, we observe and summarize the translation of metaphorical sentences and idioms in Khasbu's "Newly translated «The Dream of the Red Chamber»”.
