Abstract

Due to the current situation, learning a foreign language has become a necessity for everyone. As a result, everyone who speaks a foreign language is daily facing with the situation to do the translation if necessary. This raises the issue of translation quality, which is directly or indirectly related to the translator's knowledge and reception and production competences of the mother tongue and the target language. Linguistic competence is an important part of a translator's linguistic knowledge, and this time we have analyzed how linguistic competence is reflected in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching and Assessment.
