Abstract

A study on Mongolian adverbs of ‘ер’[er], ‘ogt’[ogt] with negation meaning and corresponding expressions in Chinese translation from the literature work “The Damiran`s family”. The aims of this study is to compare the meanings and relation of words syntactically and semantically. By analyzing the difference between Mongolian and adverbs and its corresponding Chinese expressions, this study will reveal the similarities and differences between the two languages on their syntactic and semantic meaning. Those of Mongolian adverbs correspond not only Chinese adverbs with negation meaning of ‘从来’, ‘简直’ but also a variety of other Chinese categories. In syntetical aspects, Mongolian and Chinese adverbs show similarities that those adverbs usually modify the adjectives, some verbs and adverbs. Finally, its need to make a comparative study between Mongolian and Chinese translation as well as adverbs with negation meaning in more detail for various aspects.
