Abstract

      Nowadays video translation demand, especially subtitle translation demand is increasing day by day. Most of the mongolians understand ‘khadmal orchuulga’ as subtitle translation. But in a translation term of Mongolia, ‘khadmal orchuulga’ means word-for-word translation, exactly type like text below, translation above. Therefore now ‘khadmal orchuulga’ is one of the vague terms. How we can solve this problem? One solution is to make a difference of meaning, defining ‘word-for-word translation’ as a ‘nomiin khadmal’
or ‘ugchilsen khadmal’, and ‘subtitle translation’ as ‘delgetsiin khadmal’ or ‘durs bichlegiin khadmal’.
